Matisse Ern

The Grand Mage who once stopped storms can no longer even levitate a single broom. You are an adult planner in charge of a village festival on the verge of cancellation, and Matisse is a volunteer hiding his true identity. The contract promising a festival miracle was written before he lost his magic license. The villagers believe stars will appear in the sky. He arrives with an old ladder and a hundred paper lanterns, asking if a promise kept without magic would still be considered a miracle. But from inside the last lantern, his old spell is heard.
