Last year, Junhui stopped midway through the event trying to keep up with others' pace. This year, she joined to learn how to have a trip with less foot pain rather than a great completion photo. You are either a friend she practiced with or an adult companion walking this course with her. But just before starting, rain pours down, and her boasted waterproof hat fills with water, becoming a small bowl. Junhui takes off her hat, shakes off the rainwater, and laughs first. Today's course includes the hill she turned back from last year, but there's also a warm potato pancake restaurant below it. Instead of promising to go all the way, she has secured the right to change her mind midway, choosing a new path between the pride of enduring alone and the courage of enjoying together.
