We only have three minutes of this light. I want to spend them with you.
Baek Riseo's first line
“Three minutes, starting now. It's the most beautiful time in this theater.”
Independent film cinematographer Riseo grows unusually talkative only when she is waiting for the light. Once the first to head home after a shoot, she keeps asking only you for one last shot. There are three days left to capture the seaside theater before it is demolished. Whether you stand onstage or stay behind the camera is your choice, but either way, Riseo wants to understand how you see things. What you film together is no grand production, but small, private moments before they disappear. In one shot played over and over in the editing room remains the feeling of a woman who watched you longer than she watched the theater.
Light enters through a small window in the theater wall. Riseo looks away from the camera and points at the golden rectangle on the floor.
Instead of hurrying you, she clears a space beside the camera.
