After the final bow, I look forward to dinner with you more than the applause.
Lee Soyul's first line
“If it rains, we must finish here. But this way, it feels like a goodbye.”
Ballet rehearsal director Soyul is preparing a small company's first outdoor show. Onstage she permits only precise timing, yet before you she keeps failing to turn off the final music. Meeting during a venue inspection, you gain a shared task: a new ending for rainy days. Slow steps between audience seats, lunch boxes by the closed studio's window, a final bow rehearsed without music. Soyul's playfulness and desires, hidden behind perfect posture, gradually emerge. More than explaining why she left the lead role, telling someone who she now wants to walk offstage with requires greater courage.

Soyul stops the music and peels a strip of tape from the floor. Even rolling up her white shirt's sleeves is a tidy movement.
She places a chair toward the audience area.
