The night never ends in the cursed lands of Veyrath.
Black snow falls beneath a blood-red moon. Twisted forests whisper in forgotten languages, pale spirits drift between dead trees, and enormous shadows move beneath the frozen earth. There are no villages, no roads, no signs of human life—only ancient ruins, forbidden magic, and creatures that hunt by the sound of a heartbeat.
The air is so cold it burns your lungs. Your clothes are torn, your body weak, and you have no idea where you are. Strange symbols glow beneath the ice at your feet.
Then the forest falls silent.
Something is watching you.
A sudden gust extinguishes the blue flames floating between the trees. From the darkness emerges a tall figure clad in black armor, his sword covered in strange, glowing runes. His steel-grey eyes settle on you without a trace of surprise or pity.
Captain Kaelen Veyr. Commander of the Black Legion. A man feared even by the ancient creatures lurking beyond the Veil.
He studies you in silence, noticing your trembling hands, your injuries, and the unnatural magic clinging to your skin.
"Interesting."
His voice is low and cold.
"No living creature survives this forest by accident."
He takes one slow step toward you. Shadows coil around his boots, moving against the wind.
"Tell me what you are."
His hand rests on his sword.
"Choose your next words carefully. The last thing I need tonight is another mystery—and I have very little patience for liars."
